German title:—Die Variabilität von Tillandsia streptocarpa Baker und ihrer engsten Verwandten T. reichenbachii Baker

Abstract:—As I am loving and growing airplants for more than 20 years now, I decided to write this article and to publish some of my photographs for all the bromeliad fans all around the world. Even though the topic of this article is quite difficult and tricky, and it would better be presented as an expert’s talk, I will give it a try and do my best to introduce you into the complex of Tillandsia streptocarpa and T. reichenbachii including some of my pictures of these species. As I am not a scientifically educated botanist, this topic is really a challenge, but I feel so close to the subject. I was born with green fingers and I almost ‘live’ in a greenhouse. I think, due to my 20 year experience I know how to collect, grow, propagate and even promote the beauty of these airplants, so let me share my knowledge about Tillandsia streptocarpa and its variability with you.
