German title:—Eine neue Dyckia aus dem Grenzgebiet von Minas Gerais und Goiás (Brasilien): Dyckia seringeriana

Abstract:—For many years an interesting Dyckia is cultivated in the Botanical Garden of the city of Cologne (Germany). Originally the material was sent by Constantino Gastaldi (Santa Catarina, Brazil). Upon inquiry the discovery dates back to the year 2009, when the plants were found near Cachoeira Dourada in the Triangulo Mineiro, close to the border of the state of Goiás. Over the years it became more and more obvious, that it seemed to be an undescribed species, but for many years information about the generative parts was still missing. Finally, in April 2018, the species produced for the first time and very rapidly inflorescences. Already in May the description of the flowers could be accomplished.
