Abstract:—On her trip to Guerrero Lydia Köhres found a new Tillandsia species named T. lydiae, similar in habit to T. pseudobailevi. lt grows together with T. weben, T. atroviridipetala and T. caput-medusae at ]000m near Filo de Caballo. lt differs from T. pseudobaileyi by a less bulbous rosette and fewer leaves, longer sheaths and shorter blades; very short scape (1—2 cm. T. pseudobaileyi up to 15 cm), spikes often spreading in one direction, rarely polystichous, 5—12 instead of 4—6 flowers; scape bracts much shorter, floral bracts up to 5 mm shorten than the sepals; sepals longer; red, glabrous, not lepidote. not carinate.
