Tillandsia zoquensis EHLERS spec. nov.

Abstract:—A new species, Tillandsia zoquensis, from Chiapas, Mexico, is described. lt is broadly distributed, but never occuring in big masses. Habit is similar to T. fasciculata, but differs from the following species by adaxial brown lepidote sepals and in addition to T. fasciculata: thicker spikes, flower bracts inflated, petals longer: T. jaliscornonticola: more spikes, loosely packed, less nerved flower bracts; T. buchii: twice as large, larger internodes, flower bracts yellow-green: T. langlasseana: spikes broader, flower bracts, sepals and petals longer.
