Abstract:—We present this new species of Vriesea, which occurs on rocky cliffs of eastern Brazil (figures 3 and 4) in continuation of Brazilian Bromeliad Studies and the Floristic Inventory of the Atlantic Coastal Forest Altitudinal Field Project — Area III, being developed by the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Gardens with the support of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF)
