Tillandsia taxcoensis R. EHLERS spec. nov.

Abstract:—T. taxcoensis R. EHLERS is a new large epilithic species growing near Taxco, Mexico. lt is closely related to T. thyrsigera differing in a more erect rosette and grey lepidote leaves which are longer and more narrow; spikes are longer, more roundish and much longer stipitate with more sterile bracts; flower bracts prominently nerved inside, on both sides grey lepidote; petals green-yellow, not violet.
