Abstract:—Tillandsia (subgen. Diaphoran thema) kuehhasii is described as a new species from the central Bolivian Andes. lt is distinguished from its nearest relative, T. virescens R.& P., by its much larger habit and sterns up to 25 cm in length, by longer and thicker leaves, and larger sepals which are only half connate adaxially.
