Abstract:—This new, very large species is different to all tillandsias found in Mexico. lt was named for Günther Noller, who discovered this spe cies in 1990. lt differs from the somewhat similar T. roseoscapa by the larger internodes of the leaves which are rigid, coriaceous, and twice as long; the spikes are much longer up to 20 cm), but more narrow and longer stipitate; the flower bracts are ecarinate and sub glabrous; the petals are longer and violet.
