Specialties in the Dense Rainforest of the National Park Henri Pittier, Aragua State, Venezuela

Abstract:—Two main roads wind through this National Park, heading to beautiful beaches. My wife Gabriela Keller and I often do not get to taste the salt water, because once we see an inflorescence we have to pull the car to the side to catch the view. The records of several books tell us that there are about 50 to 60 different bromeliads growing in this region and we are trying to see them all. By now, we believe we have enjoyed 39 different species, but three of them are not previously reported for the state of Aragua.
