Abstract:—E thnobotany is the study of an indigenous culture’s use of plants. Following is a listing of uses of species of Bromeliaceae by peoples of the Americas. Sixty species in 14 genera are recorded as being used for food, medicine, fiber, construction, craft, fttel, tools, and ritual/mythical purposes. Most of the recorded uses are from Ecuador and Brazil
