Abstract:—In 2012 I received a blooming plant from Lydia and Gerhard Köhres which the two had collected in Chiapas, Mexico, during their trip to Mexico a year earlier. This large new lithophyte Tillandsia is really very beautiful and deserves a new description because it deviates in many characteristics from the species previously described. Now on to the description of Tillandsia porvenirensis.
