Abstract:—Bromelia tocantinense (Bromelioideae, Bromeliaceae), a new terrestrial species endemic to the Cerrado Biome in the Eastern region of Tocantins State, Brazil, is described and compared with three of its closest relatives. Photographs are presented of this new species as well as for its relatives
