Abstract:—A new species of Tillandsia (Bromeliaceae) from the dry inter-Andean forests of the Cotacajes river, Dptos. La Paz y Cochabamba, Bolivia, is described and illustrated: T. dorisdaltoniae. It is distinct from Tillandsia baguagrandensis Rauh, for having green and not gray and densely lepidote leaves, a shorter scape, floral bracts that exceed the sepals, an inflorescence rhachis completely covered by floral bracts, smaller and adaxially subalate-carinate sepals, and erect petals without a recurved apex. From T. caulescens Brongn. ex Baker it is distinct for having a less caulescent habit, a more delicate inflorescence, softer leaves, smaller and completely free sepals as well as erect, not recurved petals.
