Taxonomy and lectotypification of Vriesea fenestralis Linden et André (Bromeliaceae)

Abstract:—A taxonomic review of the species of Vriesea sect. Xiphion with simple inflorescences indicated that a lectotype for Vriesea fenestralis Linden & André was needed because its holotype cannot be found. We have designated the lectotype and provide a list of studied material along with comments on the geographic distribution, taxonomy and conservation of the species.
