Abstract:—A new species of Guzmania (Bromeliaceae) from Vaupés, Colombian Amazon, is described and illustrated. Also a brief revision is given of the related species, which are named as "G. morreniana group". Descriptions for the six species of the group (G. acuminata, G. eduardii, G. glomerata, G. longibracteata, G. morreniana & G. tenuifolia) are presented. G. tenuifolia was described as a variety of G. morreniana, but after the examination of the morphologic variation within the "G. morreniana group" it is changed to the specific rank.
