Abstract:—Several years ago we obtained a Tillandsia spiraliflora (Rauh 1976) from Timm Stolten, Botanic Garden Heidelberg. The plants in Heidelberg grew too large to have them all inside the greenhouses in winter. Because of its size you would not see this species of Tillandsia in many collections. It forms a large cinereous rosette that resembles T. marnierlapostollei Rauh (1973) from Ecuador, but this species is from the Rio Marańon area above Balsas, Amazonas, Peru.
