Diagnose: —The new species seems to be related to Dyckia vilsonii P. J. Braun & Gastaldi, but differs by significantly smaller rosettes (40–70 cm vs. 70–120 cm in diameter), flowering up to 120 cm high (vs. 220 cm), smaller and slender leaves with prominent succulent green-whitish marginal teeth, unbranched inflorescences with reddish peduncle (vs. green), only few reddish, max. 1.2 cm long basal bracts (vs. many up to 15 cm long, green basal bracts in rosette-like order), flowers in lax position (vs. dense position), longer floral bracts (16 mm vs. 6 mm), sessile flowers (vs. on thick pedicels), slighty longer flowers, longer sepals (17–18 mm vs. 8–11 mm), longer and broad-spathulate petals (16 mm vs. 10 mm), anthers 2–3 mm wide (vs. 1 mm), fruits sessile (vs. on postflorally thickening pedicels).Edited from : Braun & Gastaldi 2019.
