Diagnose: —A S. pallidus Luther, cui affinis, inflorescentia lepidota perdensiore, ramis inflorescentiae stipitatis longioribus et bracteis primaris florigerisque serratis differt.

Observations: —This new species closely resembles the related Streptocalyx pallidus but differs by its densely lepidote inflorescence, longer stipes [ 6-18 mm vs. 2-4 mm] and serrate primary and floral bracts.;
