Aechmea multiflora L.B.Sm.[as Aechmea multiflora L B Smith]

Observations: —Aechmea multiflora occurs in Sergipe and Bahia states. It grows epiphytically or terrestrially in tropical mesophytic forest and mangrove swamps (Fig. 9). Smith & Downs (1979: 1942) indicated this species as also occurring in Espirito Santo. However, our examination of collections did not confirm this.
