<- Neoregelia rosea L.B.Sm.[as Neoregelia rosea L. B. Smith]

Observations: —There is a clone at Selby Gardens that could represent this species but the flowers have not been observed. Nevertheless, the plants have flattened stolons covered with distichous and green sheaths, the blades are narrow triangular and when flowering is starting the inner leaves becqme pinkish. No flowers have been preserved, so the floral characters {stigma and scales) have not been studied yet.
This species is closely related to N. wurdackii, from which it differs by the pinkish inner leaves.
