Neoregelia wurdackii L.B.Sm.[as Neoregelia wurdackii L. B. Smith]

Observations: —This species is closely related with N. rosea from which it can be distinguished by its smaller rosette size, narrower leaves, and connate sepals.

The description was made using the information from the original description. Other characteristics were obtained from the isotype (NY) .

Many of the important floral characters were not observed because fresh or preserved material is necessary.

This name is maintained here until further information and more specimens are identified.
