Diagnose: —Foliis densissime rosulatis bulbum magnum efformantibus laminis stipitiformi-involutis, dense adpresseque lepidotis incanis; Scapo erecto, vaginis internodia superantipus induto; inflorescentia subpauciflora, bipinnatim panniculata; spicis +_ 6-floris, glabriusculis, pinnatis, optime distichis nec secunde florigeris; Bracteolis florigeris nec imbricatis nec axes obtegentibus, dorso lepidotis, quam flores multo brevioribus; Floribus suberectis; sepalis liberis, asymmetricis.

Observations: —Observation. Species similar in habit to T. Schumanniana from Columbia, which ,never the less, differs by having a taller scape, inflorescence not at all ferrugineous lepidote etc. - In my system it is between T. adpressa et T. jenmani.
