Observations: —Discussion: The plants of this species although they are considered inside the complex Hechtia podantha they are, without doubt, the most dissimilar of all the taxa of the complex. This species is easily recognizable with plants of smaller size and in the characteristics such as the form and indument of the floral bracts, the pedicel being absent or inconspicuous and the rosette and leaves of smaller size, ditinguishing it from the rest of the species studied (Figure 28).
