Tillandsia tweedieana Baker  protologue
leaves a foot or more long, lorate from an ovate base, thin, flexible, subglabrous, 1 ½ in; broad at the middle, above 2 in; at the dilated base. inflorescence: peduncle about a foot long; bract-leaves all small and adpressed; panicle ½ –1 ft; long; branches 8–10, short, with a flexuouse rachis, few-flowered; branch-bracts small, ovate; floral bracts ovate, ½ - 5/8 in; long. flowers: calyx ¾ - 7/8 in; long; sepals obtuse, much imbricated; petal-blade oblong, ½ in; long. stamens a little longer than the petals.
