Diagnose: Plant rather small; leaves many in a clearly bulbose rosette, covered with dense appressed grey lepidote scales; inflorescence somewhat ample, a once branched panicle of suberect-patent spikes, primary branch inserted densely in the axis, flabellate, ± 20-flowered; all primary bracts much exceeded; floral bracts a little shorter than sepals, dorsally lepidote and prominently veined; flowers erect; sepals equally free; petals white, stamens a little bit excerted, entire; stamens free.
