Aechmea cf. caudata f. albiflora
Photographer: Eric Gouda
Note: Do not think it is A.caudata, but it is hard to identify it to one of the species in Smith & Downs 40-96 to 40-98. I think we are missing the key factor ovary/petal color combinations here.

- Identification: Harry Luther (2007-11-08) =Aechmea caudata var. eipperi
- Dear Eric; these seem closest to Aechmea caudata and its var. eipperi. Aechmea coelestris usually has a dark inflorescence obscured by silvery trichomes and blue petals. All A. caudata Ive seen are yellow to orange with moderate white scurf with yellow, white or pale blue corollas. Cant measure the pictures but you could dry a branch or two and compare dimensions with Monograph. Plant habit are close to A. caudata, coelestris, candida but not A. organensis. HEL
