- Add Note (11710): Uncle Derek (2014-07-31) - Do the primary bracts have spines? I hope so! (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note (11710): Richard Martin (2014-08-23) - Ud Derek, Read the paper on Ae. serrata you kindly sent a while back. I am getting questions about this Bromeliad, have we in fact found the true Aechmea serrata. can anyone confirm. I think UD is backing it as serrata. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note (11710): Uncle Derek (2014-08-24) - If your plants came from the USA I would query identity. There seems to be a ,lot of misidentified plants there from the Lesser Antilles and/or hybrids. Why not take a holiday in Martinique and speak to the local Bromeliad Group. This species is still there in the wild if you know where to find it. They will let you take photos! The plant was named because of its serrate primary bracts and this is but a starting point! Dissect an inflorescence and proper discussions can start!!! (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note (11710): Scott McLoon (2023-05-07) - This has an uncanny resemblance to the Ae. aripensis cv "Raspberry" (Sent: species@bsi.org)
