- Opmerking: Walter Till (2015-04-20) - Using the key in Flora of the Guianas vol. 189 (1987) one would end up with Werauhia hygrometrica
- Determinatie: Eric Gouda (2015-04-20) =Vriesea erythrodactylon
- Looks like Vriesea erythrodactylon to me, which is not known from French Guiana, only from BRAZIL: Espirito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Parana, Santa Catarina, (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Opmerking: Stanislas Talaga (2015-04-20) - Thanks for your comments. Definetly not Werauhia hygrometrica. I have both Vriesea erythrodactylon and Vriesea vagans in Europe, leaves of Vriesea erythrodactylon are much more lanceolate, this is why I turned to Vriesea vagans. If someone has another ideas of species with strong black markings... (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Opmerking: Eric Gouda (2015-04-20) - Yes, the coloration of the leaves of V.vagans are quite similar and I must say that I do not know them apart if not flowering. But again also this species is from South Brazil: Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Guanabara, Sao Paulo, Parana, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
