11882 - Bromeliads (Wild) - 2014-11-19 (Dimensie: 1364 x 2050 pixels - Teller: 14104) Tillandsia sagasteguii (Geladen als: Tillandsia ) Verzamel locatie: Peru - Amazonas - Located at the sarcophagi at Karajia at an altitude of 2800 meters. Growing on steep rock cliffs (where the inflorescence is usually tilted away from the cliff), or in this case on steep ground where it will be upright. Sorry, I have no picture of the flowers of this species. Growing quite large to nearly 1.2 meters tall with very heavy inflorescence. Fotograaf: Jerry Raack Opmerking: I looked at all the pictures in the NL Enclyopedia database and could not find this species. It is similar in characteristics to Tillandsia ferreyrae and Tillandsia spiraliflora, but with a very different color, and growing at very different altitudes.
