- Opmerking (12199): Jeffrey Kent (2015-10-06) - Guzmania sprucei since the flowers open at the ends. I will post an image of Guzmania rosea soon which I grew from seed. (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Determinatie (12199): Eric Gouda (2015-10-07) =Guzmania sprucei
- I think Jeff is right, both species are much alike and L.B.Smith had synonymized his G. rosea to G. sprucei, but following Harry Luther G.rosea is a good species with G.kennedyae being a synonym of it. I think the main diffeence is that the sepals are exposed in nearly all flowers in G.sprucei and (nearly) totally hidden by the floral bracts in G. rosea (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
