- Determinatie: Uwe (2012-08-13) =Aechmea kuntzeana
- Inflorescence of A. setigera is longer and not that dense as in the picture. Alas, the "setae" are not visible ... (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Determinatie: Eric Gouda (2012-08-14) =Aechmea aff. longicuspis
- Okay, now we have at least 3 names. Aechmea longicuspis (Andean) has a somewhat denser and upright inflorescence than Aechmea setigera which is mostly hanging over with a little bit less dense inflorescence. I'm still looking for the real differences between those two species. We flowered one that is from Bolivia.
Next time you have to climb the tree Jeroen! (Verzonden: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
