Note: new pic to make sure that I am trying to identify two different plants and according to two different sources (Takizawa and Fcbs) they have the same id ?; the left plant corresponds to case 6435 and the right to case 6436 (TI 17)

- This matches the coastal lowland type in Ecuador that is usually an epiphyte, often on telephone wires. There seems to be a cline N to S, high to low with floral bract covering, ie; dense around Guayaquil, glabrous around Cuenca. HEL ps not sure what happens in Peru. (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
