16246 - Bromeliads (Garden) - 20220123
(Dimension: 2030 x 1385 pixels - Counter: 2574) Tillandsia x velutina Photographer: Eric Gouda (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)

Add Note (16259): Walter Till (2022-01-31) - The foliage is different from velutina!
Add Note (16259): Matthias Asmuss (2022-02-01) - velutina turns almost totally red when in flower and the leaves are kind of velvet; the leaves in your picture are stiff and slightly banded. Where does the bromeliad come from ? (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
Add Note (16244): Eric Gouda (2022-02-20) - It is probably a hybrid of T. velutina. It is of garden origin from a nursery as T. velutina and has kind of velvet soft leaves, so maybe a T. velutina x T. fasciculata (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
