Locality: Peru - Amazonas - Growing at about 1800 meters in Leimebamba. Large plant to 2.5 meters.

- Identification (11903): Eric Gouda (2014-11-20) =Tillandsia ferreyrae
- Is close to Tillandsia spiraliflora, but distichous flowers (Sent: brom-l@science.uu.nl)
- Add Note (11908): Jerry Raack (2014-11-20) - Eric, I agree what I posted can not be Tillandsia spiraliflora due to the distchous arrangement of the flowers, but it fits otherwise in size, color and the powdery substance on the inflorescence. I'll post a picture of Tillandsia ferreyrae that I did see at much lower elevation quite a few miles away for comparison.
