Distribution: BRAZIL: Minas Gerais

Habitat: saxicolous on quartzite outcrops of campos rupestres, ca. 1470 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet honors Brazilian botanists and professors, Waldomiro Nunes Vidal and Maria Rosário Rodrigues Vidal. They were responsible for the development of the Herbarium of the Departamento de Biologia Vegetal of the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (VIC), as well as for the establishment of the Botanical Garden, both important collections of native species from Minas Gerais state.

Phenology: Flowering individuals were observed in September.
