Distribution: Jamaica: Cockpit Country

Habitat: epiphyte on wooded limestone hills or as terrestrial on exposed limestone banks, 100–670 m. Elev.

Etymology: The specific epithet probably refers to the lack or scarcity of teeth on the leaf blades.

Phenology: flower from August to November.
