Distribution: Peru, Cajamarca

Habitat: Grows as an epiphyte on trees in dry areas, ca 1200 m. Elev.

Etymology: The epithet ‘pseudo-floribunda’ is a combination ‘pseudo’ (Gr. ‘false’) and the epithet ‘floribunda’,’ the false Tillandsia floribunda’, because it was probably confused with this species in the past.
