Distribution: BRAZIL; Minas Gerais

Habitat: terrestrial in stony--rocky soil between shrubs and grasses, ca 900 m. Elev.

Etymology: Many journeys to Brazil and the consider-able work with the Brazilian cacti and bromeliads require separation from the family, especially the children, for quite a long time. By naming the new species after his daughter Joana and his son Marcio, the first author wants to express his gratefulness or their comprehension over the many years.
