EspejoSerna, A.R. Lopez-Ferrari, J. Ceja & A. Mendoza-R. 6573 (Holotipo: UAMIZ; Isotipos: IEB, MO).

Habitat: epiphyte on Pinus and/or Quercus in pine-oak forests, 1700-2000 m. Elev.

Etymology: The epithet makes reference to the northern distribution of the species in Mexico.

Phenology: It flowers from July to August.
