Habitat: grows as an epiphyte in oak and pine-oak forests and mesophytes, 2100 to 3500 m. Elev. img

Etymology: The name of the new species is dedicated to Martin de Sesse and Lacasta and to José Mariano Mocino, main characters on the Real Botanical Expedition to Nueva Espana and promoters of the first Mexican Flora.

Phenology: It flowers from March to November
