Etymology: This new species is named in honor of botanist Andre Amorim who was working at the Cacau Research Center (CEPEC) in Itabuna, Bahia, at the time. He was a great help to us in our field work in Bahia and provided us with live specimens, representing his botanical collections, which were indispensable to this study:
