Habitat: Endemic to the Pernambuco Center, A. costantinii grows mainly as an epiphyte in the upper stratum of montane forests, including the Brejos de altitude in Parafba and Pernambuco. In Alagoas, it is found at altitudes over 400 m, except for a population in the Catole Environmental Protection Area at Satuba, near Maceio, an area typically inhabited by A. tomentosa.
