Distribution: BRAZIL; Espirito Santo,

Habitat: 800 or ore m. Elev.

Etymology: The leaf blades of this species are narrowly triangular and in this respect are different from the other species in this genus. The name of this Canistrum is therefore derived from the Latin triangularis (= "triangular").

Phenology: In the wild, it flowers from November to January.
