• Distr. & Habitat: Species is well-known in the Type area, that is part of the Amazonian plain of Colombia. According to the system of living areas of Holdridge (Espinal-T. 1990) this region is part of the tropical humid forest (bh-T) and it includes a series of hills and isolated mountains belonging to the formation of the Guayanan Shield: The species grows as an epiphyte in primary, humid and relatively low forests. —See Betancur & Salinas 2003
