Abstract:—Tillandsia iassuensis, a new endemic species from the alliance of Tillandsia tenuifolia (Tillandsia subgen. Anoplophytum), is described. It grows as a rock dweller on the steeper slopes of a low, less spectacular inselberg near the eponymous town of Iaçu in the state of Bahia, Brazil.
