New species of Tillandsia (Bromeliaceae: subfam. Tillandsioideae) from Ecuador I

Abstract:—One new species of Tillandsia (Bromeliaceae) from Ecuador is described and illustrated here. Tillandsia borjaensis from the province of Napo in the Amazonia of Ecuador is related to Tillandsia pyramidata Andrè, a species of high altitudes. Distinguishing characteristics between these species are provided.
