Abstract:—T. X van-den-bergii is a natural hybrid between T. variabilis and T. incurva, growing epiphytically at an altitude of 1100 m in Costa Rica, San Jose. It was named for Wim van den Berg, who discovered and collected this plant. Due to its very nice inflorescence it is worth to be grown in Tillandsia—collections. All characteristics of the plant are constant within several generations, the dirty coloured petals are a strong hint to be a hybrid.
