Abstract:—lt was 1977 when H. Sang collected a plant in the south of Colombia which came into flower 15 years later in the collection of f.-J. Hase. lt differs from T. subconcolor by: blades ligitlate, green underneath, infiores cence with more spikes, spikes longer stipi tate, flower bracts with a hooked tip, longer -. and exceeding the sepals. Applying the key ofL. B. Smith you will end with T. glauca. from which lt differs by much darker leaves. blades more narrow, infiores cence with few, erect spikes; the primary bracts are as long as the stalk of the spikes: Foto: Renate Ehlers spikes longer (up to 20 cm, not 9 cm) and broader: petals rose with white tips. not blue. lt is also somewhat similar to 1. bongarana, from which it differs by the shorter scape (as long as the rosette), primary bracts only as long as the stalk of the spikes; spikes three times as long and with much more fiowers; flower bracts yellow and somewhat longer; sepals much longer.
