Abstract:—This new species, related to T. lautneri, was found near San Mateo, Guatemala, growing on high pine trees. lt can be distinguished from T. lautneri by the much longer, pen dant inflorescence. The primary bracts are equaling the spikes, which are twice as long, broader and more flowered. The flower bracts are longer, broader and densly covered with coarse scales; the sepals are longer and lepidote.
