Abstract:—n 1998 Lydia Köhres from Erzhausen, Germany told me about a plant she found in Jalisco near Chamela near the Club Polynesia that looks like Tillandsia makoyana but has red flowers with open throat. Lydia gave me a herbarium specimen, and even dried I saw the big difference of the details of flowers compared to T. makoyana
